Service Description

JazzPracticePro is a practice journal and educational support tool designed for jazz musicians. The service provides:

• Practice session tracking and logging
• Repertoire management with spaced repetition
• Optional AI-powered practice feedback and suggestions
• Statistics and progress tracking
• Local-first data storage with optional cloud backup

JazzPracticePro is provided for educational and practice support purposes. It is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Account & Acceptable Use

Account Registration

• One account per person: Each account is intended for individual use only.
• Authentication: You authenticate using email and one-time password (OTP).
• Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate contact information.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your login credentials with others
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
• Abuse, harass, or harm other users
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Use automated means to access the service without permission
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code from the application

Subscriptions & Billing

Free Tier

JazzPracticePro offers a free tier with basic features including practice tracking, repertoire management, and limited AI credits.

Premium Tier

Premium subscriptions provide enhanced features including:

• Enhanced statistics (30-day and all-time insights)
• Additional AI credits for practice feedback and voice import
• Priority support

Billing Terms

• Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• Payment processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Card statement descriptor: Charges on your card will appear as JAZZPRACTICEPRO.
• Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price changes to your subscription.

Cancellation

How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

• Managing your subscription through the app settings, or
• Emailing us at contact@jazzpracticepro.com

What Happens on Cancellation

• Your access to premium features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
• You will not be charged for future billing periods.
• Your practice data remains accessible in the free tier.
• You can re-subscribe at any time.

Data & Privacy

JazzPracticePro is a local-first application. Your practice data is stored on your device and is not sent to our servers unless you:

• Explicitly use AI features (practice feedback, voice import)
• Enable optional end-to-end encrypted cloud backup

Intellectual Property

The JazzPracticePro application, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Trent Jordan (trading as JazzPracticePro) and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your data: You retain full ownership of all practice data, notes, and content you create using JazzPracticePro. You can export your data at any time.

Limitation of Liability

JazzPracticePro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
• We are not liable for any loss of data, though we provide backup tools to help you protect your information.
• AI-generated feedback is for educational purposes only and should not replace professional musical instruction.
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

This limitation does not affect any consumer rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Service Availability

We strive to keep JazzPracticePro available and reliable. However:

• We may need to suspend the service temporarily for maintenance or updates.
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
• The service depends on third-party providers (hosting, AI, authentication) whose availability we cannot guarantee.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:

• Email (to the address associated with your account)
• A notice in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page

Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of JazzPracticePro will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
